It’s been a hot summer day and with the rising temperature and no rain my plants are hardly surviving but I have some cucumbers and salad greens that are still doing good despite the dry weather. I have deadheaded my perennials and have collected dried seeds for my annuals for next year planting. There was one watermelon plant that grew from nowhere and I fertilized it this morning hoping that it will give me at least one big fruit. I have just picked a pint blueberry of from my blueberry bushes and I am hoping to collect some more in the next days to come. It’s nice to have fresh fruits so I will make my delicious blueberry cheesecake from my blueberry fruits that I have gathered today. My limelight hydrangeas are just in the right time for picking and I got some so I can bring the outside view inside. I will use my freshly picked basil leaves to make dough for a pizza. The good thing about having your own herb and vegetable garden is that it makes you flexible as to what you will prepare to eat for the day.

I am moving to Colorado, because I found a job in Boulder, but I am not sure where I am going to live. I understand thatBoulder real estate would be a better investment, but I simply cannot afford it at the moment. I would love to live in Boulder because of the great shopping and the proximity of the mountains but some of the surrounding locations fit my budget better.
I am considering the possibility ofLongmont CO real estate too. After all, Longmont is just about 15 minutes to the Northeast. OK, it could be as far as a half-hour away, but that’s still not bad. I understand that prices there could be as much as 25% to 40% lower. Longmont has many more homes to choose from.
My wife will probably be employed in <Denver, in which case, we should be looking at Louisville Colorado, or even Lafayette Colorado. Both of these cities are more to the South than Longmont and she would probably find easier to drive to Denver. I really like the downtown districts in Louisville and Lafayette but neither place is as cheap as Longmont. They are also close to Superior real estate and I am not fond of Superior/Rock Creek. That place reminds me too much of California.I suppose I could consider Broomfield real estate. That location is further south than Louisville or Lafayette and offers the most convenient commute to Denver while being conveniently located from Boulder.
I guess I’ll figure it out when I go to Colorado for my next house hunting trip.

Last weekend I spent my time with my cousin, his wife, her friend and brother, who all came in from England. We got together and drove to Pittsburgh where we spend the day with another relative. We took a walk downtown and then walked to Station Square. We ate at the famous Primanti Brothers restaurant and then walked back to the car. After that, we went back to their house and got ready to go out for the evening. My cousin’s band, Donuts in November, was playing at an old fallout shelter below a bowling alley. There were 4 bands total in a very small area. As each band played, the crowd got a little bit small, which was good which meant more room for the people standing. All the bands were very good and the atmosphere in the building was awesome. Everyone was there to have a good time.

The only issue that I have noted with these is the service offered by the seller. Although I do not have personal encounter with this but I have read in my blog comments about how the service guys are always late or don’t even show up.
Then there is also Amerimax. They are quite nice. One thing I like about them is that they are energy efficient and also keep the sound out. You can go for the double hung ones so you can clean them easily.
As for Pella – this is a good company with great windows but I am not happy with their Pella ThermaStar. In my opinion they are low-quality vinyl windows for those people wanting a cheap price.
When looking at vinyl replacement windows – look at various things not just the price. You need to look at the service, durability, functionality and proximity of the supplier.
